This model also utilizes several safety features to prevent any accidents from occurring while you are riding the board. In addition, the T6 comes with various features that will let you show-off your swag to the neighborhood.
How does the T6 perform on-road and off-road with its radical design? How can the hoverboard keep you safe with its features? Find out by reading our Swagtron T6 Outlaw review as we take a closer look at each aspect of the hoverboard.
Swagtron T6 Off-Road Hoverboard Review
The most recognizable feature of the Outlaw T6 is its 10” rugged tires. The tires are inflatable, which allows for impact absorption that will increase its lifespan. In addition, the all-terrain tires have high-tread patterns across its surface and use staggered shoulder blocks. This provides the Outlaw T6 better traction while you are going off-road.
What kind of off-road terrain can the Outlaw T6 handle? With its rubber tires, the hoverboard can glide across grass and sand. In addition, the water-resistant design allows the board to run across snow and mud with no problems.
We took the board out on our grassy lawn and experienced a smooth ride. With the large wheels, we manage to cross small gaps and obstacles on our path with ease. In addition, the anti-slip pads provide a good amount of grip to keep us on the board while going through uneven surfaces.
It is important to note that the Outlaw T6 is not waterproof despite having an off-road design. The board only has an IPX4 water resistance, which allows it to withstand water sprays. While the unit can handle small amounts of water, it cannot operate under the rain or go through flooded areas. Excessive water exposure may damage the board.
The performance of the Outlaw T6 on paved roads is much better than what other hoverboards can manage. The dual 300-watt motor is capable of 12 miles per hour, which makes it one of the fastest hoverboard in the market since others can only achieve 8 to 10 MPH. In addition, the Outlaw T6 is capable of climbing 30-degree inclined roads. This makes traveling hillside routes more convenient with the hoverboard.
Another feature of the Outlaw T6 is its max weight load of 420 lbs. This is a big deal since most hoverboards can only accommodate over 220 lbs. of weight or less. While we are not heavy, we can feel some of the hoverboards groaning from our weight. When stepping on the T6 though, it feels like the Outlaw can carry two of us if we are stepping on the board at the same time.
The Outlaw T6 is said to have a self-balancing function. .This allows the board to correct its position with the help of gyroscopic sensors. While this feature may seem useful, we have yet to experience the self-balancing function to work on our board.
Batteries are often a major concern for people buying hoverboards. Overcharged or faulty connection in many poorly-made hoverboard results in fire hazards. Swagboard took the batter design of other boards into account. This is why they incorporated the SentryShield technology to the Outlaw T6. The tech involves the use of a durable lithium-ion battery that has fewer chances of malfunctioning.
Another notable aspect of the battery is its charge capacity. Fully charged batteries can take you up to 12 miles. The board can last for around three to four hours, which we have observed during our test run. A battery indicator light at the top of the board can show you how much charge your board has left. Unfortunately, it takes around two to three hours to charge the battery to full.
The Swagtron companion lets you get the most out of your Outlaw T6. You can check out the speed of the hoverboard while riding it as well as the battery level so you do not have to look for the LED light indicator on the board. The app will also tell you how far you have traveled as well.
The best use of the app is to play your music from the phone to the Outlaw T6 built-in speakers. The sound quality of the speakers is loud and clear. The T6 speaker was so good that we have it on in the office to listen to some of our jams.

The off-road capabilities of the Outlaw T6 impressed us a lot. The T6 also has better weight capacity in the market than other boards. The built-in speakers and companion app was just icing on the cake.
It is understandable that the T6 is not waterproof enough to survive a dip in a body of water. This diminishes the options of where you can take the hoverboard with you. On the other hand, its current riding performance more than makes up for its shortcomings.
