The main feature of the Hovertrax 2.0 is the self-balancing function that sets the board at an upright position when you turn on the unit. This is incredibly helpful for anyone new to riding a hoverboard and want to learn how to balance on the board. Hovertrax 2.0 utilizes the EverBalance gyro-sensor technology to know the orientation of the board at all times.
We have seen other self-balancing hoverboards that keeps the board upright. However, some of these boards require someone to step on the hoverboard or apply their weight to activate the feature. This type of self-balancing feature requires some practice among beginners since you need to find the proper balance to safely stand on the board. On the other hand, the Hovertrax 2.0 makes it easy by automatically keeping the board upright all the time.
Adding to the user-friendly aspect of the Hovertrax 2.0 is the training and standard mode. When you switch the board to training mode, you add a limiter on the max speed of the hoverboard. This helps prevent accidental acceleration while you get a good grasp on how to control the Hovertrax 2.0. You can easily switch to the easy mode by tapping on the power button twice as soon as it powers on. The two LED indicators next to the power switch can tell you if you are on training or standard mode.

In regards to the battery, the Hovertrax 2.0 passed the UL 2272 certification test. This means that the battery is following very strict standards when it comes to electrical safety. Unlike other hoverboards that do not have the same certification, the Hovertrax 2.0 has a low risk of catching on fire or experience electrical surges.
The Hovertrax 2.0 uses a dual motor in providing the horsepower to the board. The first is a 135-watt motor for cruising speed and 350-watt motor for peak power. This allows the motor to achieve 8+ MPH maximum speed, which is a slight shortcoming since other boards can achieve faster speeds. The Hovertrax 2.0 has a durable polymer frame that allows it to withstand physical damages and the usual wearing. It also has a fender bumper to absorb the shock and protect the frame and inner workings of the board from sudden vibrations. In addition, the board has a maximum weight limit of up to 220 lbs. The Hovertrax 2.0 itself weights only around 24.8 lbs.
It is important to note that the Hovertrax 2.0 is not water resistant. The board does not have any means of stopping water from leaking into its inner circuit. It is not a good idea to use the hoverboard during rains or snow.
